2024 Byron Bay Surf Festival HIGHLIGHTS

The 2024 Byron Bay Surf Festival was a celebration of surf culture like no other, blending art, music, sustainability, and epic wave-riding. From 15-18 August, Byron Bay became the ultimate surf destination, hosting world-class events like the Wategos Wizards, where surfers showcased their talents across the blokes and mermaids logger Open, U18 boys and girls wizards and the coveted Old Mal.

The festival also highlighted creativity with the BBSF Art Show presented by McTavish, featuring renowned artists like Ozzie Wright, Otis Carey, Jaleesa Vincent & James McMillan.

The event saw the live broadcast of the "Water People" podcast, hosted by Lauren Hill and Dave Rastovich, with legendary guest Bob McTavish.

Sustainability took center stage with Hydro Flask leading the charge to reduce single-use plastics and promote environmental stewardship as well as Cruzr ebikes showing us alternatives and convenience to motor vehicles.

The festival wrapped up with a massive prize giveaway courtesy of Varuna surfboard, Cruzr ebike and a Hydro Flask $1000 gift pack.

The Byron Bay Surf Festival continues to set the bar for surf festivals globally, blending the love of surf with conscious living and creative expression. Until next year!
